In Vladimir will install two new automatic weather stations

In 2027, as part of the implementation of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”, the development of an intelligent transport system (ITS) will continue in the Vladimir urban agglomeration.

Currently, the structure of the ITS includes 33 modernized traffic lights, 93 video traffic detectors and 2 automatic road weather stations (on Victory Square and Muromskaya Street).

In 2027, to improve road safety and efficiency, it is planned to install 2 more automatic road weather stations on key transport arteries - Bolshaya Nizhny Novgorod and Dobroselskaya streets.

The equipment collects real-time data on temperature, humidity, wind speed, precipitation and road surface conditions (ice, snow, humidity).

The system is able to simulate the transport situation 15-20 minutes ahead.

When the traffic lights fail, they automatically switch to local mode, which excludes the occurrence of a traffic collapse.
