Volgograd residents October 11, 2026 threatened by a 6-point magnetic storm
Nightmare for Meteopaths Continues

On the night of Sunday, October 11, a 5-point magnetic storm hit the Earth. Such powerful disturbances continued in the early morning. In the coming hours, the geomagnetic situation will be tense.
In the afternoon, things could get worse. According to the portal “Gizmeteo”, in the afternoon of October 11, a 6-point magnetic storm is expected. By the evening, the force of geo-attacks will again decrease to 5 points. Such disturbances will be recorded within a few hours.
Earlier in the evening, experts of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the IKI and ISZF noted that the Earth faced the most powerful geo-strikes in the last three months. At the same time, the g-point magnetic storm began to be observed from 20.00 Moscow time. The last time a magnetic storm of comparable strength occurred on July 4, 2026. This space storm was accompanied by intense auroras observed at latitudes of 50 degrees and above.
The increase in the power of perturbations of the magnetosphere is associated with the arrival of plasma clouds to the Earth, ejected into space during the strong surge in solar activity observed at the beginning of the week. According to the forecast, the geomagnetic field may remain in a perturbed state for about a day.
The index of flash activity at the end of last day was 6.9 points out of 10 possible. Over the past day, astrophysicists recorded 10 emissions of weak power energy on the Sun and two more – of medium power.
On the morning of October 11, solar activity increased to 6.7 points. During the night, no new solar flares occurred.
The solar wind speed increased to 675 km / s and is characterized as increased. Indicators of interplanetary magnetic field induction and solar flux density also exceed standard values.
During powerful geomagnetic disturbances, some people may feel worse. Among the complaints: the appearance of weakness, headaches, nausea, dizziness, increased irritability. On such days, doctors recommend observing a sleep regimen, avoiding excessive stress and stress, eating more fresh vegetables and fruits, drinking enough water.
