What is a Digital Passport
Digital passport is a service in the mobile application "Public Services", which allows you to confirm your identity using a smartphone in cases permitted by law. When asked, the system generates a temporary QR code – it lasts only a few minutes, after which it is updated. The code cannot be reused, screenshots do not work.
It is important to remember that the digital version does not cancel the paper passport – both documents remain valid. The use of the electronic method of presentation of information is voluntary.

How to issue and present a digital passport
To work with the service, you need a confirmed account on Public Services and consent to data processing. The procedure is simple:

If a digital passport is not accepted
In practice, not all organizations are ready to work with QR codes: there may be no scanner, employees are not familiar with the procedure or act according to internal rules.
