Volgograd explained why you can not take antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription
Uncontrolled use of antibiotics is fraught with serious complications. Although such drugs are a key tool in the fight against bacterial infections, their improper use can cause significant harm.

The main problem is the growing resistance of microbes to drugs. If the dosage is chosen incorrectly or the course is interrupted prematurely (which often happens when the patient becomes easier), some bacteria survive and change. As a result, strains that are resistant to therapy are formed, and the treatment of severe infections is noticeably complicated.
Among the direct consequences are side effects, including a violation of the balance of microflora. To reduce the risks to the digestive system and immunity, doctors often supplement antibiotic therapy with probiotics – ignoring this recommendation can worsen the condition of the intestine.
It is important to remember: antibiotics do not reduce fever and do not act on viruses, so their use is justified only by prescription.
Diet also plays an important role: products in the production of which antibiotics were actively used contribute to the growth of resistance. Preference should be given to goods with a short shelf life - in them the content of such substances is usually minimal.
Health preservation is based on basic measures: a balanced diet, regular physical activity, hygiene, timely vaccination.
