Volgograd residents warned about the danger of water from a bottle left in the car
Drinking water from a plastic bottle that has been in the car for a long time can lead to toxicoinfection

As explained by the doctor of medical sciences, infectious disease specialist Vladimir Neronov, the main threat arises if a person has already drunk from this container, since "with each sip in the bottle get microorganisms from the oral cavity.".
And if under normal conditions, most of them are harmless to a healthy person, then at high temperatures, especially when a bottle of water has been lying in the sun for a long time, the process of their active reproduction begins.
Neronov said that the water becomes potentially dangerous after a few days in the car, but the exact timing of safe storage is impossible to name. A particular risk arises when the bottle is in the car in the sun at a temperature of 30-40 degrees.
The expert also drew attention to the danger of reusable bottles with improper care:
“If the bottle is not washed regularly, a biofilm is gradually formed on the inner walls – a thin layer of microorganisms that becomes a favorable environment for the further reproduction of bacteria.”.
In order to avoid the accumulation of harmful microorganisms, the doctor recommends daily thoroughly wash and completely dry reusable bottles, RIA Novosti writes.
