Volgograd doctors saved a man with an acute stroke
The blood clot was removed through a puncture on the arm, the patient was discharged home

Volgograd doctors prevented the serious consequences of a stroke in a 58-year-old man
According to the regional health service, the ambulance team took the patient to the hospital No. 25 - the man had pronounced signs of acute cerebral circulation disorders: a skewed face, speech problems, weakness in the right limbs. In an emergency order, the patient underwent a CT scan of the brain with contrast: the examination confirmed a blockage of the vessel - an acute heart attack was diagnosed in the pool of the middle cerebral artery.
Modern endovascular technique helped to save the patient. The surgeon performed the intervention through a minimal puncture on the arm: through the vessels he reached the lesion and extracted a clot that blocked blood flow. This low-traumatic approach allowed to quickly restore blood supply to the brain.
The dynamics of recovery turned out to be very favorable: on the second day, the man was able to talk, sensitivity began to return to him in the previously numb arm and leg. Now the patient is discharged home - the doctors did not reveal his neurological disorders.
Doctors emphasize: with a stroke, the speed of care is critical. The key symptoms in which you need to immediately call an ambulance are asymmetry of the face, speech and coordination disorders, numbness of the limbs. The rule of the “golden hour” applies: timely medical care significantly increases the chances of recovery and return to normal life.
The development of the healthcare system in the Volgograd region, including the introduction of digital solutions and the expansion of telemedicine capabilities, remains one of the priorities of the region. These areas are implemented within the framework of the national project “Long and active life” on behalf of Governor Andrei Bocharov.
