Volgograd rescuer Medvedev: the purpose of the Emergencies Ministry is to prevent trouble
In the rubric #Persons of Emergencies, which is led by the EMERCOM of Russia, Alexey Medvedev. He serves as Deputy Head of the Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work Department for Uryupinsk, Nekhayevsky, Novonikolaevsky and Uryupinsky districts. The material was provided by the press service of the GU EMERCOM in the Volgograd region.

Alexey chose the profession at school. He was very impressed by the stories of rescuers – people who in a matter of minutes stop trouble and pull others out of the fire. This sense of real benefit led him to the Voronezh Institute of the State Emergency Service of Russia, where he studied fire safety since 2013.
After graduation, in 2018, Alexey came to the EMERCOM of Russia. He began as an inspector in the same department where he now holds the post of deputy chief. This path is the result of systematic work, attention to detail and a responsible attitude to prevention.
“For me, service is primarily about preventing disaster. It is especially valuable when it is possible to identify the risk before it becomes a fire, and help eliminate the violation so that the solution is realistically feasible for the organization. Work is versatile: today - analysis of project documentation and standards, tomorrow - inspection of the object, the day after tomorrow - briefing or preventive conversation. An important advantage of this work is the ability to see and measure the result: fewer fires, less damage, saved lives.
Alexey devotes his free time to technology. He is interested in the design of cars, he helps friends with repairs, understands schemes and diagnostics. Another passion is electronics: assembling projects on Arduino, soldering boards, experiments with sensors. This is not only rest, but also training engineering thinking, accuracy and attention – qualities that come in handy in the service.
The family – wife and daughters – occupies a special place in Alexei’s life. Next to the loved ones, he really recovers and understands what is important.
