At the plenary session of the XII International Parliamentary Forum of BRICS, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin addressed the topic of artificial intelligence. He said parliamentarians should do everything to ensure that AI remains a tool for people.
Volodin pointed to the threat, which, according to him, must be prevented: the situation when artificial intelligence will begin to control humanity. He stressed that such a development should not be allowed.
According to the speaker of the state Duma, the regulation of AI should be fixed not only in the legislation of the BRICS countries. He called for bringing this task to the level of large associations, including BRICS and the UN.
Thus, Volodin invited parliamentarians to act ahead. We are talking about rules for AI being formed both within individual states and within international structures.
