Volunteers told how they were looking for a missing mushroom pickle in the forest of the Tver region

In VPSO “SOVA” shared a report on the search for an elderly man who went to the forest of the Nelidovo district for mushrooms and got lost.

The missing man left his homeland, but sometimes returned home and went to the area of the forest, which he considered familiar, because he had visited him before. Except it was a long time ago. On one of the quiet hunts, the man went deep into the forest and realized that he was lost, tried to get out himself, but failed.

The missing man had a button phone from which he called a relative. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, having learned about the incident, went to the village nearest to the entry point of the man into the forest and gave an audible signal, but he did not hear it.

Search engines worked in the forest to respond, because the phone, although it provided communication, could not transmit coordinates. Everything was complicated by the area of the forest, in which the sound passed well, but was distorted and reflected. After 12 hours of rescue, volunteers found a man and led him out of the forest onto the canvas of the railway.
