Magic and Technology: How the Semechki Cultural and Educational Center Lives in Alekseevka

In the Alekseevsky children's model library No. 3 now two residents: Sonya Sunny and Semyon Semechkin. They acquaint young residents of the district with the surrounding world, teach creativity and help master modern technologies. But most importantly, kids are starting to read more. See the world without leaving the library

The emphasis on yellow sunflowers was not accidental. As noted by the head of the library Svetlana Nigodina, the Alekseevsky district is the birthplace of sunflower oil, and this is what they wanted to convey in the design of the space. This is how you get to know your community and its history.

But not only about the native Alexeyevka can learn preschoolers. The library installed an interactive globe and a training panel. With the help of a “magic” pen, young Belgorod citizens study the geography, cultural and economic features of different countries. And they also collect puzzles of different levels of complexity, create cartoons, prepare for school and study robotics.

About modern technologies

For children from 7 to 11 years old and for high school students there are two platforms. They are also equipped with new equipment. The guys have a thermopress for printing, monoblock computers and a 3D printer.

In addition, there is another interactive panel on the platform for high school students. With its help, they study local history, and some resources for the panel were created by the library staff themselves.

Needle-smelling pages

Thanks to the allocated 4 million rubles for the renovation of the space, the library received almost 1.5 thousand new editions. This is both artistic and educational literature. One of these books especially surprised the staff: it is worth rubbing its pages, you smell needles or lavender.
