Voronezh explained the changes in the minimum teaching load of high school students
For students of the 10th and 11th grades in the Voronezh region there is an updated minimum amount of training load

For students of the 10th and 11th grades in the Voronezh region there is an updated minimum amount of training load. The changes apply to schools across Russia, but the actual number of hours in individual subjects does not increase.
The Ministry of Education of Russia explained that the corresponding order came into force on September 1, 2025. The minimum amount of study load for secondary general education is set at 2,312 academic hours for two years of study.
The calculation is based on current sanitary requirements. For pupils of the 10th and 11th grades, a five-day school week is provided, during which students must study for 34 hours.
The school year is designed for 34 weeks. Thus, for two years of study, the total minimum workload is 34 hours per week, multiplied by 34 school weeks and two years - only 2,312 hours.
At the same time, an increase in the general minimum threshold does not mean that classes in specific disciplines will be added to Voronezh high school students. As noted in the department, the amount of hours provided for the study of individual subjects remains unchanged.
