Voronezh told when will be available 5G

Residents of Voronezh, like other Russians, will have to wait for the widespread use of fifth-generation mobile communications. According to the leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin, access to 5G will be able to get about 80% of the population of Russia not earlier than 2030.

The first networks of the new communication standard were launched in Russia last week. 5G is now available in 16 cities and has 10 million subscribers. By the end of the year, experts expect to work out the possibility of launching the network in another 50 cities.

According to the expert, the introduction of the new standard is gradual. Therefore, it will take several years to create a large-scale coverage. According to him, almost universal access to 5G can be expected around 2030-2031.

At the same time, it is not enough to be in the coverage area to connect. The user’s smartphone should also support fifth-generation technology. The expert said that we are talking about new models of devices.

Thus, the timing of full-fledged 5G in Voronezh will depend on the pace of development of the relevant infrastructure and the decisions of telecom operators. The ability to connect will also be determined by the characteristics of a particular smartphone.
