Festive events, creative competitions and thematic meetings will be held in Voronezh on the eve of Father's Day. In total, more than 40 events were included in the city program. They will be held in different districts of the regional center and municipal cultural institutions. Information about the upcoming events was posted by the mayor’s office on October 9.
The first shares will start on October 12. During the week, citizens will be able to participate in remote projects and share stories about their fathers, congratulatory photos, drawings and poems. Concert performances, game programs and family-themed meetings are also planned.
In some areas, they have prepared their own initiatives. So, in the Railway district from 12 to 18 October will be held the action “My dad is the most important”, and in the Kominternovsk district from 14 to 20 October will take part in the photo and video flash mob “Happy Father’s Day!”. In the Left Bank district on October 18, congratulations for dads will be broadcast on the radio "Left Bank" in the framework of the project "My dad, I'm proud of you!".
A special place in the program will take patriotic education. On Friday, October 16, at the Center for Military-Patriotic Education “Museum-Diorama” on Leninsky Prospekt, 94, a lesson of courage “Serve the Fatherland as Fathers” will be held. The start is scheduled for 15:00.
Father’s Day in Russia is celebrated on the third Sunday of October. In 2026, the holiday falls on October 18. It was officially established in 2021 by the decree of President Vladimir Putin. The holiday is designed to emphasize the role of the father in the upbringing of children and support family values.
