Voronezh region was in second place in car rental in the CFD
Experts consider Voronezh, Smolensk and Vladimir regions promising for car sharing due to the steady demand for car rental

According to the Business Journal, the Voronezh region took the second place among the regions of the Central Federal District in terms of rental and leasing services for the first half of 2026. The indicator amounted to 92.4 million rubles, slightly inferior to the Smolensk region (93.4 million). Vladimir region with 43.1 million left behind.
The car sharing market outside the capital region is still poorly developed. Of the total volume of 26.7 billion rubles, the Moscow region accounted for only 80 million – 0.3%. For comparison: in Moscow, car sharing occupies 65% of the rental market, in the Moscow region - about 4%.
Positive dynamics in leasing and rent for January-June 2026 showed Vladimir (+13.2%), Ivanovo (+9.8%), Tambov (+7.8%), Moscow (+3.2%) and Voronezh (+1.8%) regions, as well as Moscow (+4.9%).
In general, in the Central Federal District, growth remains, but has slowed significantly: if in the first half of 2024 the index of physical volume of services added 19%, then in 2025 - 15.5%, and for the first half of 2026 - only 4.4%.
Experts consider the Voronezh, Smolensk and Vladimir regions promising for car sharing due to the steady demand for car rental. However, development is hampered by rapid wear and tear of machines, the need to build infrastructure from scratch and a small population. The incentive may be an increase in the cost of personal cars and the cost of their maintenance - this will push residents of the regions to abandon their own transport.
Recall that two federal car sharing operators already operate in Voronezh: Delimobil (Karsharing Russia PJSC), launched in August 2026 with the tariffs Clocks and Days, and Yandex Drive, which began work in September.
