Voronezh mushrooms met in the forest elk

A resident of Voronezh went for mushrooms and unexpectedly encountered a large forest animal - elk. She said this on social media.

According to the woman, the beast stood still and carefully watched the mushrooms. The company was seriously afraid that the moose might go in their direction, and was reassured only that a car was parked nearby.

Experts note: in everyday life, moose usually do not show aggression to people and do not pay attention to them. However, the danger arises when encountering a female who protects the offspring, as well as during the gestation period - it lasts from about late August to mid-October.

When meeting with moose, experts recommend keeping a distance, avoiding sudden movements and not trying to take a picture up close. If the animal has noticed a person, it is better to stop and slowly move away without turning your back. You can not run away: a running person can provoke an instinct of persecution in an elk. An adult male weighs up to 600 kg, and the blow of his hoof is deadly.
