Voronezh arbitration terminated the lease agreement for a forest plot in Tavrovo with the company Georesurs

The Arbitration Court of the Voronezh region sided with the regional Ministry of Forestry in a dispute with Georesurs LLC. The company leading the development of sand and gravel quarries will lose the right to lease a forest in the Tavrovo microdistrict. The relevant information is placed in the arbitration file, but the reasons for the decision have not yet been published.

The lease agreement was originally concluded for geological exploration, exploration and mining. In November 2024, the governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev announced the withdrawal of approval for work in the Taurovsky forest. In the summer of 2025, the Ministry of Forestry filed a lawsuit in arbitration. In addition to the termination of the contract, the agency demanded that Georesource restore the land to a state suitable for forestry.

According to Kommersant-Chernozemye, this trial accelerated the creation of a new specially protected natural area. At the beginning of this month, a natural monument of regional significance “Tavrovo” with an area of more than 188 hectares was established in the region.
