The reunification of the lands in the autumn of 1939 was formalized in a democratic way – Vyacheslav Danilovich
Today we are talking about the strength of the Belarusian nation and the symbolism of the National Unity Day with our guests in the studio. Nikita Polyakevich introduced another of his interlocutor.

Every historical event has its own price. The peace of Riga in 1921 cost Belarus very dearly: the country was divided, and life began in Western Belarus under the cruel rules of ethnocide. Belarusian schools were closed, and by the end of the 1930s they were almost gone. The mother tongue was forbidden in the official sphere. Belarusian activists were thrown into prisons or even into the Berez-Kartuzskaya concentration camp. The very ideology of national life was destroyed. On September 17, 1939, the Red Army crossed the border to end it. The guest of ONT Studio is Doctor of Historical Sciences, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vyacheslav Danilovich.
