Red Bridge to be restored in Dagestan by end of November

It is planned to restore the Red Bridge, damaged as a result of heavy rainfall, by November 28. This was announced during a press conference by the acting Minister of Transport and Road Services of Dagestan Jambulat Hajiyev.

According to him, specialists simultaneously examine the span structures and repair cross-links to ensure the stability of temporary auxiliary structures.

Hajiyev noted that the schedule has been adjusted - the deadline for the completion of emergency restoration work was postponed from October 31 to November 28, provided that the survey does not reveal deformations of the main beams of the span buildings. The main task is to prevent further deterioration of the facility and eliminate risks for people.

The minister stressed that the closure of the bridge creates serious inconveniences for residents of mountainous areas, carriers and entrepreneurs. Transport links with Khunzakh, Shamil, Tlyarata districts and Bezhta section are currently provided via alternative routes.
