Head of the Department of Federal Highways "Caucasus" Alexander Lukashuk told at a press conference in the regional information center "TASS Caucasus" about the project of construction of the Eastern bypass of Grozny.
Four-lane highway with a length of 20 km will be built according to the standards of category IB. It will be laid on the territory of Grozny and Shali districts of the republic. Throughout it is planned to arrange four transport interchanges, as well as 15 artificial structures, including bridges, overpasses, crossings for agricultural machinery and cattle races. When equipping the largest of the designed bridges – across the rivers Sunzha and Argun – will build shore fortifications.
This road will provide a quick and convenient access to the airport, will bring the transit flow outside Grozny and unload the city streets. The Eastern bypass will also become an important section of the North-South international corridor and will ensure seamless delivery of goods between the central regions of Russia and the Caspian ports.
Earlier it was reported that Chechnya took first place in the country in the rating of adherence to healthy lifestyle.
