Criminal case on attempted fraud in repair of housing for orphans in Vyazniki

The Vyaznik interdistrict prosecutor's office conducted an audit of the implementation of legislation in providing housing for orphans and children left without parental care.

Established: In May 2026, the administration of the Vyaznikovsky district concluded municipal contracts worth more than 1.4 million rubles with SEM-Vladstroy LLC. The funds were intended for the ongoing repair of two apartments provided to orphans under social contracts.

In July, the general director of the contractor placed in the Procurement system acts of acceptance of works for the full amount. However, the audit showed that the reporting was not true:

Instead of the materials provided for by the contract, cheaper analogues (linoleum, doors) were used. Installed water heater less power than required by standards.

As a result of the actions of the contractor, the state suffered damage in the amount of more than 220 thousand rubles.

The inspection materials were sent to the investigative body. Based on the results of their consideration, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted fraud on a large scale). The investigation is under the control of the prosecutor's office.
