Can there be communism in the XXI century, explained the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, member of the Council of the Republic Sergey Syrankov on the air of the TV channel RTR-Belarus, reports sb.by.

“Communism may exist, but only on condition of unity.” Unity of thoughts, deep awareness of the situation and understanding that in addition to the socialist idea at this difficult stage of development, our world can not take away from the global apocalypse. Socialism is the only alternative. For me, a rather vivid example of not communism, but already established socialism is North Korea. We returned from an official visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, where we held meetings, including at the highest level. A cooperation agreement was signed between the Communist Party of Belarus and the Workers’ Party of Korea. It was signed by an associate of Kim Il-sung, who personally knew him and now heads the international department of the WPK Central Committee. And just like that, on the example of Korea, we can say that this is a country of victorious socialism, Sergey Syrankov said.
He also explained the position of the Belarusian Communists. Let us take a little from those states at the head of which are parties of a communist, socialist, workers' and labour-oriented nature. Thanks to the experience of political struggle, socio-economic transformations, they have proved their worth to integrate into strengthening the socio-political and economic course of our President. The slogan with which we went to the elections – not instead, but together – is not a slogan for a specific electoral campaign, it is something that we are still implementing thanks to the team of the Central Committee and party activists throughout the country, Sergey Syrankov said.
