Residents of the Melekessky district will be able to receive consultations of narrow-profile specialists and undergo medical examinations without leaving for Ulyanovsk. On Wednesday, October 14, the municipality will organize a field reception of doctors from six regional and city medical institutions.
Specialists of the Ulyanovsk Regional Clinical Hospital, the regional oncological dispensary and the S. D. Gryaznov anti-tuberculosis dispensary will join the work. Also, employees of the Central City Clinical Hospital, the Yu.F. Goryachev Regional Children's Hospital and the Children's City Clinical Hospital of Ulyanovsk will be sent to the district.
During the departure, doctors will conduct consultations and examinations of local residents. Particular attention will be paid to patients with chronic diseases, who need to be regularly observed by doctors and, if necessary, adjust the prescribed treatment.
Prevention will be a separate area. Examinations of children and adults will allow timely detection of possible health disorders and determine the need for further diagnosis.
As explained by the acting chief physician of the regional Center for public health Lilia Kirilina, such trips help to make specialized medical care more accessible to the population of remote territories.
In addition to receiving patients, working meetings with local doctors are planned. They will be attended by the main freelance specialists of the regional Ministry of Health on therapy, oncology, adult and pediatric phthisiology, as well as preventive medicine.
The trip is organized within the framework of the national project “Long and active life”. Since the beginning of 2026, 16 such events have already taken place in the Ulyanovsk region. During this time, about 4,300 residents of remote settlements received consultations.
