Doctors remind Vologda residents of the importance of compliance with traffic rules when driving on electric scooters

Doctors of the Vologda region warn that any violation of traffic rules and neglect of equipment when riding on electric scooters can turn into a tragedy. Falls from transport often end in dislocations, complex fractures and traumatic brain injuries.

Another case occurred in the regional ophthalmological hospital. A 10-year-old boy came in with a left eye injury sustained when he fell from an electric scooter. Ophthalmologists performed primary surgical treatment and sewed the wound of the upper eyelid. No eye damage. Now the boy is feeling well and discharged home under the supervision of his parents.

Doctors recommend that you always wear a helmet, goggles or a mask, avoid driving on sidewalks near pedestrians and in busy places, and take special care in the evening and at night.
