Doctors in Vologda conducted a patient TAR-plastic abdominal wall

Vologzhanka 68 years old entered the Vologda city hospital No. 1 with the fourth recurrence of postoperative hernia. Women have previously removed their gallbladder.

Doctors decided to perform TAR-plastic of the abdominal wall. The intervention was complex, as a scarring process formed after past operations. This type of medical care is considered very difficult. I had to put a reticulated prosthesis on the abdominal wall. At the same time, layer by layer to divide the abdominal muscles, cut the tendons, creating a wide space. Here the main accuracy, because the incision even a millimeter deep can damage blood vessels, nerves or internal organs.

The operation was complicated by the fact that due to the fourth relapse, the scars completely destroyed the normal anatomy. The doctor had to work not with pure muscles, but with adhesions and altered tissues.

It went well. The patient is doing well. High-tech medical care is provided in the region within the framework of the national project “Long and active life”.
