Departures from regional centers of Belarus to Egypt temporarily moved to Minsk – tour operators called the reasons

Departures from Belarusian regional centers to Egypt were temporarily transferred to Minsk. This sb.by reported in the Republican Union of Tourist Organizations (RSTO) with reference to information profile tour operators.

The RRT informed:

- The transfer of flights from regional centers to Minsk is reported by tour operators consolidating charter chains to Egyptian resorts. One of them consolidates the charter chains in Sharm el-Sheikh from Gomel and Mogilev, in El Alamein from Brest (this season there is one departure left), and also planned to launch a charter chain to Hurghada from Gomel in November. The second company consolidates charters in Sharm el-Sheikh from Vitebsk and Brest.

The transfer of charter flights from regional airports to Minsk National Airport in the winter season 2026/2027 is due to the need to ensure the safety and stability of flights. When planning the flight program for this period, the features of winter navigation, meteorological conditions, as well as restrictions on the use of individual airspaces and spare airfields are taken into account. Taking into account the combination of these factors, Belavia Airlines has decided to focus its charter program at Minsk National Airport in the coming winter season. In the summer season, the flight program from the regions will be resumed in full.

“Tourists have been provided with all the necessary information,” the RSTO noted with reference to tour operators. Taking into account the current circumstances, clients of travel agencies can choose one of the options: make a trip with departure from Minsk National Airport with full preservation of the original cost of the tour, given that the departure dates do not change; change the direction of travel to another within the framework of possible offers of tour operators; refuse to travel if changing the departure airport is unacceptable, with a full refund of the money paid in the manner prescribed by the legislation of Belarus.
