Young environmentalists of Kalmykia joined the All-Russian action “Preserve the forest”

In the Yashalta district of Kalmykia, in the village of Esto-Altai, an environmental campaign for landscaping was held. Activists of the school detachment “Ekolyata” of the local school named after D. N. Kugultinov became participants in a large-scale all-Russian project “Save the forest”.

Under the guidance of teachers-mentors, students distributed tasks: high school students from the fifth grade prepared the soil and dug planting holes, and first-graders planted young tuya seedlings. Planting material for the action was provided by the Department of State Environmental Supervision for the Republic of Kalmykia.

According to the organizers, such initiatives play a key role in shaping the younger generation’s respect for nature.
