For 10 years bears in the Novosibirsk region has become a quarter more

According to the agency, in 2017 there were 1,132 bears in the region, and in 2026 - already 1,514. One of the reasons for the growth of the population is that hunters do not choose all available quotas for the extraction of animals.

As explained by Doppler, interest in hunting has decreased due to increased costs and reduced benefits from the sale of fishery products. According to him, for several years, cartridges have risen significantly, in addition, hunters have to spend money on fuel, machinery and special equipment.

The Ministry of Natural Resources notes that bears live mainly in the north and east of the Novosibirsk region. In 2026, reports of their appearance near settlements also increased.

Earlier, “MK in Novosibirsk” reported that since the beginning of the year bears 105 times went to the settlements of the region.
