In Livny, a local resident was convicted of attempting to bribe a police officer. This is reported in the press service of the SU IC in the Orel region.

Investigators have gathered enough evidence for the court to hand down the verdict. On April 29, 2026, a drunk man was driving along the Livna-Evlanovo-Dolgoe highway in the Livensky district. His car was stopped by DPS officers.

To compile materials about an administrative offense, the man went to the salon of a service car. There he tried to transfer the inspector DPS bribe – 50 thousand rubles. He wanted to pay for non-administration. But the policeman refused to accept the bribe. The man failed to commit the crime. The defendant was sentenced to a fine of 500 thousand rubles.
