Kotovsky City Court considered a criminal case on a road accident that occurred in July 2025. The driver hit a woman at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. From his injuries, the victim died in hospital.
During the trial, it was found that the defendant partially compensated for the damage caused by paying the victims 1,170,000 rubles.
The court found the man guilty of violating traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person by negligence. He was sentenced to three years in prison and served in a colony-settlement. In addition, the convicted person is deprived of the right to drive vehicles for 3 years.
The court also satisfied the claims for compensation for moral damage: in favor of three victims recovered a total of 2 330 000 rubles.
It is noted that the sentence has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed.
