During the day in the Smolensk region eliminated three fires

Over the past day, fire and rescue units of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Smolensk region successfully eliminated three man-made fires in the region. The prompt and coordinated actions of the staff prevented more serious consequences and the spread of fire.

In particular, the fire occurred in the village of Sitkovo of the Veliga municipal district, where the fire engulfed a two-apartment residential building. Due to the timely arrival of calculations, the flame was quickly localized and extinguished, which allowed to minimize damage to the property of residents.

In the regional center, on the street of Peter Alekseev, lit up garbage on the container site. As a result of the incident, the fire completely destroyed six square meters of waste. In addition, due to exposure to high temperature, a car parked nearby received minor damage to the body. Four employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and one unit of special equipment were involved in extinguishing this fire.

Another fire was recorded in the village of Milovidovo in the city of Smolensk, where an ownerless building burned. The fire managed to damage the building on an area of fifteen square meters before the six rescuers and two pieces of equipment who arrived at the site completely coped with the flames.

In addition to eliminating the main fires, rescuers three times went to eliminate the burning of garbage and dry grass. At the same time, during the reporting period, fire and rescue units were not involved in eliminating the consequences of road accidents, and no emergencies were registered at the water bodies of the region.
