In the Moscow metro began to run a new thematic train dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Union of theatrical figures of Russia. The design of the composition acquaints passengers with the history of the national theater, its outstanding figures and creative heritage.
“On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to develop cultural and educational projects in urban transport,” said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry. The new train dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia will run along the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. This is especially symbolic, as there are more than 20 theaters and cultural centers near its stations. We are actively launching branded transport together with Moscow theaters. This year, a train was launched in honor of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. In August, together with Vladimir Mashkov, the tram “Metamorphoses of the Oleg Tabakov Theatre” was presented.
The interior design of the composition is made in theatrical style – the walls of the cars are decorated with images of stage curtains, and the space under the windows is decorated as spectator seats. The design used archival photos, historical materials. The train will operate for six months – since 2013, 335 branded trains have already worked in Moscow.
