Zaporozhye explained the rules for replacing the passport when changing the signature

Residents of Zaporozhye region explained the procedure for using a Russian passport in case of changing the personal signature of the owner. Urgently reissue the document when changing the painting, the law does not require, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported, RIA Novosti reports.

The Ministry specified that the citizen has the right to adjust his autograph at his own request, or the handwriting can change over time naturally. Neither circumstance makes the passport invalid and does not entail the need to pay state duties and apply for a replacement form.

In addition, the specialists of the Ministry reminded about a special procedure for people with disabilities: if a citizen is physically unable to put a painting on his own, a dash is officially marked in the appropriate column of the passport.
