A conference was held in Yalta on the development of the sanatorium and resort sector and medical rehabilitation in the historical regions of southern Russia. It was attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Zaporozhye region Viktor Emelianenko.

One of the topics was cooperation with the Sechenov Research Institute. The Institute can become a methodological center for health resorts of the Azov-Black Sea coast, including Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the DPR and the LPR. Among the areas of work is the introduction of methods of physiotherapy, hydrogen and ozone therapy.

Emelianenko noted that for the Zaporozhye region, the development of this sphere is associated with the resorts of Berdyansk, Kirillovka and Primorsk. According to him, about 70% of the coast of the Azov Sea has not yet been developed. The region also needs qualified doctors and rehabilitation specialists.

The conference discussed practical solutions for the development of resort treatment and training. A children's multidisciplinary medical center is being built in Melitopol.
