Russian Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk told reporters that foreign intelligence agencies are trying to force Russians to commit sabotage and terrorist attacks using various pretexts, including blackmail, intimidation and threats.

In the digital world, methods of deception are becoming more sophisticated. Wolf noted that acquaintance on the Internet, money transfer or careless disclosure of information about yourself can end unpredictably. Sometimes, she explained, this is the beginning of a criminal scheme in which the enemy uses deception, threats, blackmail and psychological pressure.

The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also stressed that it is no secret for anyone: foreign special services are trying to organize sabotage and terrorist attacks in our country. At the same time, they strive to do this by the hands of our fellow citizens, who are being persuaded to perform their tasks under various pretexts.

Earlier it was reported that fraudsters began to deceive parents with threats to cancel child benefits.
