The meeting in the case of Lilia Fedotova stopped because of anxiety in the court of Moscow

The trial in the case of the former head of the Don Ministry of Finance Lilia Fedotova on October 9 had to be suspended. During the meeting in Rostov, an evacuation began in a Moscow court, from where a guest specialist spoke via video link.

According to the DonDay correspondent, the Deputy Director of the Department of Intergovernmental Budget Relations of the Ministry of Finance of Russia Daria Hvorostukhin was invited to the hearing. She had to explain the case without coming to Rostov.

Communication with the representative of the Ministry was organized through a videoconferencing system. However, during the interrogation in the Moscow court sounded an alarm. Visitors and staff were urged to leave the building under an evacuation plan.

As a result, the Rostov court could not complete the interrogation of Daria Hvorostukhin. It is planned to continue it at the next meeting.

Lilia Fedotova was detained in February 2025. The criminal case is connected with the attraction of a commercial loan during her work as the Minister of Finance of the Rostov region.

The investigation believes that during the registration of the loan, abuse of official powers was committed. The estimated damage to the regional budget is estimated at 1.9 billion rubles. This amount relates to the cost of servicing the loan and paying interest.
