It took almost 8 months. In Sayanogorsk with delays reconstruct the monument “Bell”

The foundation for the monument “Bell” is fully ready. Workers have completed the cladding, the next stage is the installation of the monument, said the head of the city Yevgeny Molodnyakov.

“The bell is now being manufactured in the shops of the new contractor. The monument will consist of several large and massive blocks. On the spot, they will be connected together so that the design turns out to be strong and monolithic, the mayor shared with subscribers of social networks.

Yevgeny Molodnyakov recalled that the reconstruction of the monument was delayed due to the fact that the first contractor who won the auction did not fulfill his promises and the terms of the contract. As a result, the work stood up, and the contract was terminated with him and a new auction was announced. The new contractor was more reliable - the work is nearing completion. They plan to fulfill the contract by the end of the year.

“Experts say that the installation of such blocks can be carried out at any time of the year, because it does not require special weather conditions,” said Molodnyakov.

We will remind, to arrange the monument “Bell” planned for the Victory Day. But then the contractor did not have time due to “delayed delivery” of stone from the Urals. As Molodnyakov explained then, failures in terms of performing certain works in municipalities are often - no one is immune from this.

“Multiple organizations are usually involved in landscaping. And even if one completed everything on time, the other can disrupt the planned plans. It happened this time, he explained.

Thanks to solid materials, the reconstructed monument will stand for many years. The previous structure, more than 40 years after construction, began to collapse - the cladding fell off the concrete base and was dangerous to others, the concrete itself gave cracks. There will be no such destruction in solid stone.

We add that the general concept remained the same, the color scheme will be the same as the monument to the Children of War located nearby. The updated lists of heroes will also be returned to their former place.
