In Dagestan, an interdepartmental working group has been established to control the construction of a corps of pediatric oncology, hematology and immunology on the basis of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital. It was headed by the Chairman of the People's Assembly of the Republic Zaur Askenderov.
The first meeting was held at the hospital. Before the meeting, participants examined the proposed construction site. The working group was created on the recommendation of the head of Dagestan Fedor Shchukin.
“The construction of the children’s corps of oncology and hematology is without exaggeration a fateful project for the whole of our republic,” Askenderov said.
The project provides for the construction of a four-storey building with 60 beds. The building will house an expanded outpatient clinic, oncology and hematology departments, intensive care wards and isolation wards, as well as an intensive care unit.
Medical and technical task agreed with the National Medical Research Center of Oncology and the National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for 2028.
According to Askenderov, one of the key tasks of the working group is to reduce bureaucratic barriers in the implementation of the project.
