The entire housing stock of the Belarusian capital is ready to receive heat. This was told by the head of the department of urban economy and energy of the Minsk City Executive Committee Alexander Rakovshchik, BelTA reports.

According to the decision of the Minsk City Executive Committee for the upcoming heating season, a list of measures was approved for implementation in the interheating period of this year. According to the head of the department, all planned works on repair of roofs, joints, glazing in the housing stock have been completed. Readiness passports were received on 100% of objects, including those belonging to the owners’ associations and HSPK. Thus, the entire housing stock of the city is ready to receive heat, he said.
A lot of work has been done by power engineers - heat suppliers. “All boiler houses, CHPs, pipelines, water testing and washing of residential heating systems have been repaired and their filling with chemically purified water is currently being completed. This year, the focus is on replacing large diameter pipelines. In total, the enterprise "Minskkommunset" by the end of the year will be transferred 55 kilometers of heat networks and 86 kilometers - "Minskenergo". Moreover, all these are pipelines of large diameters to exclude the possibility of emergency situations, Alexander Rakovshchik explained.
This year, for the first time, a purposeful replacement of the valves was made in Minsk, so that in the event of an accident there was the possibility of a phased shutdown of residential buildings. Also, the process of replacing the electric shields is completed, which will also prevent emergency situations.
“Last year, more than 200 cases of electric vehicle shutdowns were recorded in winter. Therefore, measures have been taken to replace the elements of the contact network, work in this direction will be completed before November 1, said Alexander Rakovshchik.
