Anna Eismont: Life is good. And live well - in Belarus
Honestly, I don’t like numbers and even fear them. To the brain of the humanities, I avoided and avoid close contact with any kind of person.

Honestly, I don’t like numbers and even fear them. I am a humanist to the bone, I have avoided and avoid any close contact with any numbers. Nevertheless, an amazing moment: when I see the data of statistical surveys, I immediately glue my eyes – all in attention! These figures fascinate even a non-mathematical nature like me.
“Statistics is the most accurate of all imprecise sciences,” said the French novelist Gustave Flaubert. In fact, in one way or another, we do statistics almost all our lives, but very locally and even within the same family: a survey on any burning issue that requires a family decision. But we are doing this, of course, rather on a whim and not as professionally as the specialists of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Studies, who issued the results of a new sociological study. Topics are extremely interesting for understanding our society, its moods, thoughts and aspirations. For example, what is the most important thing in your life? Honestly, I didn’t make it to the 2045 respondents, but if you asked me, I probably wouldn’t hesitate to think about it
Sometimes it's like, who do you love more, mom or dad? While you're thinking, I'll continue. Among the respondents – 55.3% of women and 44.7% of men. Perhaps it can be concluded that women are more talkative and ready to discuss any topic. Respondents belong to different age groups: 51.8% of participants - from 31 to 57 years in women and up to 62 years in men, 29.6% - from 58 years in women and from 63 years in men. 18.6% of participants are 18-30 years old. And what did the researchers get out? When asked what is the most important thing in life for you, 80.8% of respondents answered – attention – health! Wow!! Good to hear! Although, I confess, I am not surprised to recall the recently held Minsk Half Marathon with 30,000 participants. And there was a family and children's race! And all summer the Presidential Sports Club had no problems with the filling of sections in 40 disciplines of the Sport for All project. The nation is really thinking about its health – and now it’s clearly proven! And this is confirmed by the answer to the second question of social research: who would you like your daughter/son to work? Attention, the answer: in the medical field! That's it, it's the puzzle. My parents also dreamed that one of the three children would choose a medical profession. But I am convinced that for this profession it is necessary to have a special temper and vocation from God!
Keep going. The answer to the question: how do you assess the financial situation of your family? Here, dear Belarusians were pleasantly surprised, answering (82.2%!) that their situation is GOOD! I'll explain why I was so surprised. No offense, but there are so many jokes about Belarusians that it has become customary for us to be a little poor. A good friend of mine, who lived in Spain for a long time and returned to our small town for permanent residence, once told me laughing (a real story) how in the bank branch a neighbor complained that “penny nama, I will pay my mints dalara!” Honestly, I’ve heard this before too. So it's not really "nyama.".
We need to appreciate what we have. And take care. Apparently, the new generation from a slightly different test and when asked how you manage your income, 41.3% honestly answered that “I spend all my money and do not save.” Well, it's good and bad, because no one canceled financial literacy. On the other hand, when every weekend fairs, festivals, concerts and holidays are held in Belarus, how not to spend something? You need to live this beautiful life in pleasure, but do not forget about work!
Most Belarusians want to have two children. But we know who has the third child, right? So you can think about increasing..
