Resident of Orenburg district did not pay 75 fines and now owes almost 140 thousand
The magistrate of the court district No. 4 of the Orenburg district considered the case of a local resident who ignored administrative fines for violations in the field of road safety

According to Part 1 of Article 20.25 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, for non-payment of an administrative fine within the prescribed period, a fine is provided in double the initial amount, but not less than 1 thousand rubles. The alternative could be administrative arrest for up to 15 days or mandatory work for up to 50 hours.
Separately, it is worth talking about the timing. It is necessary to pay an administrative fine no later than 60 days from the date of entry into force of the decision on its appointment. If this deadline is missed, the Article 20.25 mechanism is activated and the amount of debt doubles.
History clearly shows what the accumulation of unpaid fines turns into. 75 violations are not random forgetfulness, but persistent neglect. And in the end, instead of paying the original amount, the person received a new - in double size. A simple logic works here: the longer you wait with payment, the more expensive it costs. And if the case went to court with consideration of alternative measures, the man could receive not only a fine, but also administrative arrest or compulsory labor. So in his case, the penalty is still a relatively mild outcome.
And do you think it is right that the penalty for non-payment is doubled, or is it already an excessive burden on the offender?
