A resident of the eagle tried to buy off an employee of the traffic police

A magistrate sentenced a resident of the Eagle for attempted petty bribery. The details of the case were told in the press service of the judicial precinct No. 1 in Mtsensk and Mtsensky district of the Orel region.

In June 2026, in the evening, the driver, driving a car of the GAZ brand, on 311 km + 500 meters of the M-2 “Crimea” highway, moved along the side of the road, thereby committing an administrative offense (Part 1 of Art. 12.15 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation). At this point, he was stopped by DPS officers. The motorist, wishing to avoid prosecution while in the patrol car, put money in the amount of 1000 rubles in the area of the armrest, located between the front seats, thereby handed them over to the state inspector as a bribe. The criminal actions of the driver were stopped by police officers who reported to the duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Mtsensky” about this fact and called the investigative and operational group to the scene.

During the court hearing, the driver admitted guilt in committing a crime, repented of what he had done. The magistrate, after analyzing all the evidence in the case, concluded that he was guilty. Z. Z0h, 1 Art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and imposed a penalty in the form of a fine in the amount of 40,000 rubles, and also applied confiscation of the subject of the bribe - banknotes with a nominal value of 1000 rubles. The sentence was not appealed and entered into force.
