A resident of the Orel region for several years illegally stored a grenade
In the Orel region, the Uritsky district court convicted a resident of the Soskov district

In the Orel region, the Uritsky district court convicted a resident of the Soskov district. He was found guilty under article: “illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of explosives and explosive devices” (part 1 of article 222.1 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation). The man faced up to five years in prison, but the court took into account a number of circumstances and did not impose the maximum possible punishment.
As follows from the materials of the case, Orlov was fond of search work on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War. With a metal detector, he went to the forests near the Eagle and found wartime items. In one of these sorties, he discovered an artillery cartridge, inside which gunpowder was preserved, and several of its types, including in a fabric cartridge. Next to the casing, the man found a partially discharged F-1 hand grenade, as well as a store from a submachine gun, a mine case, ammunition, a dagger, a bayonet knife and a German helmet with symbols. Finds the resident of the region did not pass law enforcement officers, and kept the house for several years. So, the gunpowder placed a package in the banks, which were lying on the shelf of the cabinet, hid the grenade in the deepening of the foundation, and the other in the nightstand and in the attic.
The secret of the Orlov resident was revealed by a local police officer who asked if there was something forbidden in the house. The owner of the house himself showed him homemade dummies of weapons, chevrons and epaulettes, including those with Nazi symbols. After leaving the policeman, the man was afraid of responsibility for illegally storing gunpowder, but did not give anything away. A few days later, he was visited with an examination, this time allegedly because of epaulettes with Nazi symbols. During the search, they found and seized everything, including gunpowder and grenade.
The examination confirmed that the seized gunpowder is suitable for use and belongs to explosives, and the F-1 grenade is also a usable explosive device with the residue of TNT.
The court took into account mitigating circumstances: admission of guilt, repentance and active promotion of the crime. Servants of Themis appointed him two years of forced labor with the retention of 10% of wages in the state income. Also, the “black search engine” was fined 50 thousand rubles.
