Residents of the Leningrad region asked not to let children out of the house because of the healing of bears

In the Volkhov district of Leningrad region, local residents noticed a bear on the road towards the forest near the village of Taibolskoe. The administration of the Pash rural settlement urged residents to be careful and recommended not to go into the forest temporarily. This is reported by IVBG.ru.

“In connection with the information received from one of the residents about the observation of the movement of a bear on the road towards the forest to the Pasha River, we urge you to be careful,” the administration said in a statement.

The information was sent to the animal welfare committee. Meetings with bears are also reported near the villages of Bor, Ust-Rybezhno and Pechenichino, as well as on the highway in the Pasha area.

The committee explained that animals have a period of active healing before hibernation. They are attracted to food waste, scavenger apples and open compost piles.
