Residents of Udmurtia warned about heavy fog on September 19
Reduced visibility on the roads – up to 500 meters.

In the night from 18 to 19 September and in the morning on the territory of Udmurtia is expected thick fog. Visibility on the roads can be reduced to 500 meters, which will significantly complicate the movement for all road users. In such conditions, it is especially important to observe the speed limit and increase the distance to the transport ahead.
Drivers should use fog lamps and, in the event of a critical decrease in visibility, stop immediately at the side of the road or in a safe place, avoiding sharp maneuvers and braking. Pedestrians are advised to cross the road only in designated places and, if possible, to wear reflective elements on clothing.
Forecasters note that the fog will be most dense in the lowlands and near water bodies. In some areas, local deterioration of visibility up to 200-300 meters is possible. Particular attention should be paid to the morning hours, when the fog can persist longer than usual.
Residents of the republic are advised to plan trips with a spare time, so as not to create emergency situations due to haste. In case of unforeseen situations on the road, call emergency services. The Ministry of Emergency Situations in Udmurtia asks citizens to be vigilant and not to risk their health and life for the sake of reducing travel time.
