In the Frunze and October districts of Vladimir, residents began to report an unpleasant smell of tap water. Appeals were received by the city administration and the municipal enterprise “Vladimirvodokanal”.
After the inspection, experts said that the water meets the established standards and remains safe for use. The reason for the change in smell was associated with seasonal natural processes in the area of the Nerli River, from where water comes to Frunze and part of the Oktyabrsky district.
The city administration explained that this phenomenon is observed annually and is temporary. It is caused by natural and climatic changes.
Nerlin water treatment station continues to operate normally. According to the authorities, the quality of water is under constant control of specialists.
