A 45-year-old resident of Chuvashia fully repaid alimony arrears after a criminal case on non-payment of funds for the maintenance of children was sent to court.

The woman was obliged to pay alimony for two minor children in favor of the former spouse. Officially, she did not work, periodically went to work in Moscow, but did not transfer money for the maintenance of children. The debt exceeded 1 million rubles.

The bailiffs repeatedly warned the woman of responsibility and brought her to administrative responsibility, but payments have not resumed. After that, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Before the trial, the woman fully repaid the debt and more than 22 thousand rubles of the execution fee. She also re-issued a residential house and land for children.

In connection with the full repayment of the debt, the court released the woman from criminal liability and dismissed the case.
