As reported in the joint press center of the courts of Kuzbass, in the Central district court of Kemerovo sent a statement of claim demanding compensation for moral damage. The plaintiff insists on the payment of one and a half million rubles from each of the defendants as compensation for the loss of the baby.

The statement claims that the death of the child was due to poor quality medical care. According to the case materials, after birth, the baby was active, but later he developed jaundice, and when breastfeeding there were difficulties with swallowing. Due to the developed respiratory failure, the child was connected to an artificial ventilation apparatus, but it was not possible to save his life.

“Previously criminal proceedings were discontinued for lack of corpus delicti. Nevertheless, commission forensic examinations revealed violations by medical professionals. Experts came to the conclusion that the mistakes made were not the direct cause of the death of the infant, but significantly reduced his chances of survival, the joint press center of the courts said.
