Resident of the Priozersky district was detained for an accidental murder 20 years ago

St. Petersburg police detained a 58-year-old man. He is accused of murder committed 20 years ago, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and Leningrad region reported.

It was established that on July 24, 2006, near one of the houses on General Simonyak Street in St. Petersburg, the corpse of a man born in 1943 with facial bruises and abrasions on his back was found. A criminal case was opened on this fact, but the murder was not solved.

All these years, the work to identify the criminal has not stopped. And here on suspicion was detained a resident of the village of Lugovoy Priozersky district. He admitted that in July 2006, during a sudden street quarrel, he beat a man with his hands and feet and fled to avoid responsibility. The detainee court chose as a preventive measure a subscription not to leave and proper behavior.
