Izhevsk residents will be banned from exorcism outside the church

In Izhevsk, they want to legally ban private exorcisms. Only clergymen of the Russian Orthodox Church will be able to conduct them and only according to church rules.

One of the main reasons is the increasing number of fraudsters. Under the guise of “healers” and “magicians” are often those who harm mental and physical health.

The Church has repeatedly warned about the danger of turning to such “specialists”. The reason was the case in Sochi: for the rite of exorcism over a two-year-old child, where they used tying and hot wax, appointed real imprisonment.
