Residents of Komi told when in 2026 will celebrate Grandparents Day

In Komi, Grandparents Day will be celebrated on October 28, 2026, this date in Russia is fixed. In other countries, the holiday falls on different days, but the essence remains common.

According to the popular version, in Russia, the date began to be celebrated in 2009, taking the idea from the Dutch flower bureau. There is another version that connects the holiday with the proximity to the autumn days of remembrance of ancestors.

On this day, it is customary to visit older relatives, give them cards and spend time together. You can arrange a family dinner, look at photos or just call those who are far away.
